I am a keen wool enthusiast who wishes to embrace the local resources and help to make wool more profitable for all of our hard working farmers.

As a small business on a small island I’m positive it can be done!

Peedie Dragon Ltd began in 2023 with just a few local fleeces to make peg loom rugs, I enjoyed the process immensely and before I knew it my mind began to throw new ideas at me.

I began to explore new outlets for wool and even ran a pop up shop in the local town with other artists and crafters. It was a great way to meet my future customers and lots of fellow fibre enthusiasts.

This year I am introducing my new range of Orkney wool and it will appear online in the Autumn. .

Through the summer I will be adding a wonderful range of hand dyed British wool, I’m also adding a value range, for those who want to support British wool and small businesses but like to be mindful of their outlay on a project. All hand dyed wool is dyed here in Orkney by myself.

We have access to a wonderful selection of fleece from farmers all around the UK as well as Orkney so you are sure to find something perfect for your home and budget.

The origin of the wool is stated in each individual shop listing if you would prefer a handmade ready to post product.

We are always on the lookout for good quality fleece, we are happy to discuss the possible purchase of fleece even if you only have a small number sheep. Fair prices will be paid.
