I am a keen wool enthusiast who wishes to embrace the local resources and help people explore more sustainable fibres and to help make wool more profitable for all of our hard working farmers.

Even as a small business on a small island I’m positive it can be done!

Peedie Dragon began in 2023 with just a few local fleeces to make peg loom rugs, I enjoyed the process immensely and before I knew it my mind began to throw new ideas at me.

I began to explore new outlets for wool and even ran a pop up shop in the local town with other artists and crafters. It was a great way to meet my future customers and lots of fellow fibre enthusiasts.

This year I am introducing my new range of Orkney wool and it has begun to be listed in the online shop and is already in some of my stockists.

Through 2026/2027 I will be adding more to my wonderful range of hand dyed British wools. There will also be British Alpaca, specialist Orkney wools, British luxury wool and some amazing wool bases from the sheep and other fibre animals of the world.

All hand dyed wool is dyed here in my kitchen in Orkney!

Peg loom rugs are not available at the present time due to long term recovery from a hand injury.

We have access to a wonderful selection of fleece from farmers all around the UK as well as Orkney so you are sure to find something perfect for your home and budget.

The origin of the wool is stated in each individual item.
