This rug has been produced from a sheep fleece grown and sheared from a sheep in Westray.
It is from a first clip fleece from a local family run farm.
The Valais Black Nose Lamb was raised by the farms children and is still very much a part of their family.
This rug has been beautifully made by a resident local lady in Westray.
It has a nice thick felted back and lovely soft long locks.
Valais Black Nose sheep are relatively new to the UK having only been introduced in 2014. They are considered a rare breed even in their homeland of Switzerland.
It will be shipped directly from Westray to its new home.
It measures approx 4ft in length and 29” wide with a staple of some 6-8” making it a great size for most rooms and a very luxurious soft finish.
