HAND DYED IN ORKNEY LUXURY WOOL FOR YOUR PROJECT - SUPPORTING UK FARMERS AND RARE BREEDS

All wool is hand dyed by myself in very small batches (no more than 10 at a time!)

It is dyed using professional low impact acid dye produced in the UK

New wool colours and new rare breeds are added to the online shop on a regular basis.

Both Orkney and British wools as well as UK rare breed varieties.

Below are some of the wonderful sheep who live in Orkney, they work on growing the beautiful soft fleeces for your next project. I have the privilege of getting to see them every week on my way to my stockists!

The Black Nose Valais lamb in the photo above is a much loved and adored member of a small and very well cared for showing flock in rural Orkney. They receive regular pamper sessions to keep those beautiful curls in pristine condition and their owners ensure they want for nothing. Their wool is beautifully soft and white whilst being strong enough to produce the most gorgeous hand woven rugs.

Above are the rather stunning Dutch Spotted ewes who are happily sheared of their fleece by their wonderful owner, an Orkney shepherdess who is very knowledgeable and caring.

Below is the rather handsome Kerry Hill Ram who has a flock of his own ladies on the same island as myself. This ram is full of confidence and he knows how handsome he is 😀
